LOCTEK 1800T Container Ship Launched Smoothly
The world is changing, some people come, some people go, this is the shipping arena.
On December 14, the 1800T container ship of Ningbo Lege Ergonomics Technology Co., Ltd., a leading enterprise in cross-border e-commerce in Ningbo, was successfully launched at the Yellow Sea Shipyard , which means that the ship is one step closer to the delivery target by the end of March next year.
Loctek said that in the future, the company will be able to provide more economical, safer and sustainable services for more corporate brands going overseas.
The ship was planned and built by Loctek during the peak of sea freight last year, with a planned investment of 32.6 million US dollars (equivalent to 207 million yuan) . The ship is positioned as a fast ship according to its sailing speed. Loctek shares stated that the company's shipbuilding is mainly out of the pursuit of strengthening supply chain security, improving supply chain efficiency, and reducing transportation costs.
According to public information, Loctek’s overseas warehouse business will achieve a total revenue of 292 million yuan in 2021 and the first half of 2022 (including 171 million yuan in service revenue to third parties) and 258 million yuan (of which 181 million yuan in service revenue from third parties), the growth rate is very fast.
Although the freight rate of the America West route has dropped to about 10% of the peak, the significance of shipbuilding is not very obvious.
However, Loctek said that the shipping market is a highly volatile industry. With the changes in domestic epidemic prevention and control policies, the China-US economic trade will become closer in the future, and the total volume of import and export trade will also be bullish for a long time .
Loctek shares also stated that although the company is unlikely to operate the ship alone, it is beneficial to the company's expanding public overseas warehouse business by cooperating with shipping companies to exchange a self-owned ship for a warehouse and lock in transportation costs. Yes, and the overseas warehouse business is currently an important engine driving the company's overall performance growth.
